Maggie Alyce Agnew

Our Sweet Angel, Maggie Alyce Agnew, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2011 in her Mother and Father’s arms, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on June 18, 2008 in Salt Lake City, UT to Sean and Michelle Agnew. Although her life was short, her presence will leave a lasting impact on all those who knew her. She was an inspiration to so many people around her and will never be forgotten. Maggie was a spunky little girl who always knew what she wanted! While her body may have appeared weak her spirit was strong and full of life. She loved to cuddle with her Mom, watch football with her Dad and tease her brother and sister, as well as everyone around her! She loved her green binkies and red suckers. In fact there was rarely a time you would see her without one! She loved Princess Aurora and everything Pink! Maggie loved to be outside and loved to swing at Grandma’s house. She enjoyed going on walks with her family and visiting the ducks. Maggie was blessed with a wonderful family, amazing neighbors and friends and great nurses and doctors. We are so thankful for the time we had to spend with our sweet angel girl and will miss her so much!

We love you Mags, always and forever.

Maggie is survived by loving parents, Sean and Michelle; sister Hailey (6); brother Taveon (4); And many grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday March 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Chapel 1111 E. Charleton Ave., Salt Lake City, UT. A viewing for friends and family will be held on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the church, and again one hour prior to funeral services. Interment to follow at Holladay Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Mitochondrial Foundation at www.umdf.org in Maggie’s name. On-line condolences at www.memorialutah.com.

Latest Update on Maggie

So not really sure how to update our cardiology appt today. It was really overwhelming and a little scary, okay really scary. But I'm glad the doctor just told us how it is. So for this appt our nurse Deb came with me and Maggie. Well, we started with having an echo done and I expected everything to be okay with that and it just showing her normal PFO. We went back to the room and had an EKG and waited for the cardiologist to come in to give us the results of the echo and EKG. So she finally came in and said that she had received the results of the biopsy and said she was going to talk to another cardiologist about what needs to happen next. So anyway then she continues to tell us that Maggies echo was worse than her last echo and that looking at this shows that this is why her other organs are all having trouble. Maggies septum in her heart is not working as well. She asked me how invasive we wanted to go with Maggie and I said that we don't want to be too invasive because of all of her problems the outcome would not be very good. But that we would need to discuss everything as things came along. She absolutely agreed with me and said that she would not do a transplant on Maggie and she would not do a pacemaker on Maggie because she does not think Maggie would make it through that process and because if she did make it she would have deteriorated a lot to have made it and her life would not be good. So then she tells us that what we want to hope happens is that when its time, Maggie gets an arrhythmia and that is how she goes because it will be painless. Not sure what to think about this. I think I may have been in a little shock at this point. She says that she is going to see Maggie one more time and then she will probably transfer her care over to the heart failure doctor. Maggie is not in heart failure yet but apparently that is where she is headed. She tells us that because of her heart this is part of what is causing Maggie to have trouble digesting. So basically there is nothing we can do about that. There are a few meds that we could try to help the heart but there is nothing we can do to fix the heart. However she doesn't think Maggie can take the meds for this because Maggie has such a low heart rate. These meds will make it slower and she will need to be watched super closely if this is what is decided to do. She says that we can not put Maggie back on TPN because not only of the liver problems but because she gets infections so easily. If her heart rate goes high like when she gets infections she said that this is when the arrhythmia will happen which will mean Maggie will not make it. So not only can we not have her heart rate low, now we have to watch so carefully that it doesn't go too high. So she said that there is really no way to get Maggie to keep her weight or gain really. Basically, she says that we are going to watch Maggie starve to death which will make her heart give out. Unless another doctor can come up with some other way to get her to digest or get her calories without a central line. So there is nothing we can do about it. It is so frustrating to know the plan of your childs death and not be able to do anything about it. I can't even explain the feeling I have or how to move on with daily things right now. My head is just spinning in circles trying to come up with something. The cardiologist asked us what we were going to do for Maggies Make a Wish and we told her we were planning to go to Disney World (Thanks Brienn I am seriously going to email you soon I'm just spacey) the cardiologist thought that this would be great for Maggie but then asks us when we are going and we told her that Maggie has to be 2 1/2 to 3 to have a wish and her response was "push to get it done sooner!" We told her that we had tried to talk to someone about doing that and they said we couldn't and she said yes we can and that we need to push it get it sooner. I guess she doesn't think Maggies quality of life will be good at all in December so she wants us to do this trip as soon as we can.

So, so far all of Maggies doctors that we have seen agree that we need to make Maggie as comfortable as we can so she is not suffering. Its so hard for people to understand that although Maggie looks okay on the outside her insides are not well. She has lost weight and is not looking quite as good now and we are going to continue to see this. Maggie is way small for a two year old. On our scale at home Maggie is under 18 lbs, she is going to be 26 months next week and she is starting to lose weight quicker than she has been. We have made a followup appt with Dr Shoffner in Atlanta for the end of September. Our cardiologist wants us to see if he has any other ideas on what we can do to get calories in her since he also does not want her on TPN. I am praying that he can think of something and fast.

Maggie will be having the colonoscopy and endoscopy to make sure things look okay from that standpoint. This will be on Thursday, which she will also have some blood tests done and urine tests done. These things will check organ function. Being sedated is very scary for people with mitochondrial disease so please pray things go well with this. Please also just keep Maggie in your thoughts and prayers for this news that we have received today. We appreciate all of the love and support and being surrounded by such amazing people. Our neighbors all pitched in and got us a Flip camera so we can record everything. We are so thankful for this and can't even describe how amazing everyone has been. Also thank you to our nurse for coming with me to that appt, I don't think either one of us were expecting to hear what we did. Thank you all so much!!

Why is it so easy for me to read everyone's blogs, yet I never can update mine!?!? Maybe it's just because my life isn't all the exciting. Well, I'm here to tell you that that is going to change! Hopefully.... I'm not making any promises hahaha I'm not going to update from where I left off because then I will never get caught up. So I will update with the latest fun event. My birthday! It was a great day full of pedicures, food, golf and of course a movie. All in good fun and with some pretty awesome people! Take a look at the pics! Oh.... I may back track next time just to update my New York trip as well :)

The Agnew's had a great surprise this Christmas! Since it isn't best for Maggie to go outdoors during RSV season, especially to be around a ton of sick kids and germs. They had a surprise visit at their house! Santa stopped by!! How exciting!! Well, I think Hailey was the only one truly excited Taveon and Maggie weren't so sure about him haha you can tell by the pictures. But Santa still gave them all a gift and best wishes. Pictures tell all, so take a look!

Thanksgiving was great! We all had a great time. It's always fun to be with family. :) Even though the end of the day wasn't so great....when I got home..... But the rest of the day was a blast, I helped my mom with the dinner and made a new yummy dessert! We visited and played fun games, it was great :)

He married a great girl, Kandace!! We love her and I'm so happy for the both of them! At the luncheon, Chad sang to her. How precious is that? He did a wonderful job as well. :) Congrats you two! This next week, I'm going to try and update the past few months with some pictures as well. Because we all know how much I love pictures! :) So this is just the beginning. I'm going to start back in October, right before I got the swine flu :)
At work, we had a group "party" thing on the 22nd of October. So we went to Fat Cats, where we had pizza and salad for lunch then went and bowled!!! We thought we'd make it a little more entertaining by buying awesome boas and sunglasses. It was Halloween time after all ;-) So here are some awesome pics of one fun day!

Alright, I promised I would update, so here it goes.... The last time I have posted was back in October... A lot has been going on since then to keep me busy. Over Halloween, I got the swine flu, yep, that's right, the swine flu.. I was way sick for a couple days and had a fever that just wouldn't go away. One day, my fever finally went down, then shot back up to 102. My sister, Michelle, urged me everyday to go to the doctor or the ER. But me, being who I am that doesn't go to doctors when she is sick, just kept putting it off. Saying, "it's too late to get an antibiotic now", or "what are they going to do to help me?". Well one day, I was just walking around the house and I had a really hard time breathing. So I called my mom to take me to the ER. Even while I was sitting in the waiting room I kept thinking that they were just going to send me home. It was finally my turn to go back, I said that it was possible that I had the swine flu, of course the nurse just looked at me and didn't believe me. She then had me take my jacket off and she said that my skin was burning hot. So she got her little thermometer thing that they slide across your forehead and she started freaking out. Which in turn I got really scared. My fever was at 105 and she said that my vitals were reading that I should have been seizureing right then. She started panicking saying that I was really really sick and they hadn't seen someone that sick in a really long time. She was trying to keep me calm, yet she was in panic mode. She hurried and rushed me back to a room and told me to strip down, 3 other nurses were right there with her putting cold rags all over my body and getting me hooked up to an IV. Nothing like this has ever happened to me so I was really scared and it all happened so fast. The doctor came in and talked to me, I had an EKG done and X-rays. The nurses were asking if I was delirious or hallucinating. As far as I knew, I wasn't :) The nurses also kept saying they couldn't believe how good I looked for how sick I was so they had a hard time believing it. I sat in the hospital with an IV for 4 hours, so I had 4 huge bags of liquid pumped into me, my eyes started to look swollen by the time I had left. From then on out, I took extra strength Tylenol every 4 hours just to make sure my fever didn't come back. So lesson learned... Even if you don't think you're that sick. Be aware of your symptoms and how long they last and get to the doctor if someone tells you that you should, because they can usually see more than we do. The worst part about this all, is that my mom made an AWESOME Lucy costume this year!!! I was so excited to wear it!! It's from the "Lucy's Rumba" episode, she did an amazing job on it. Maybe next year.....

In November, I had another big event! Not one I'm happy about though. So Thanksgiving day I was over at my Mom's for the majority of the day helping cook dinner and I made some desserts and everything. I stayed there until about 11:00 PM. I then decided to go home. When I got home, I started playing the piano for a bit, then decided to check my email, I went over and got on my laptop and it wasn't connecting to the internet. I thought that was really weird because it usually connects as soon as I open my laptop. I look over to where our wireless router was and it was missing.. Really weird.. So I text my old roommate and my current roommate to see if they maybe took it or moved it or something, they didn't. I then looked around the house, we had just cleaned so everything was in it's place except one box in my closet. I called me mom and she got scared so she had me come stay with her for the night. The next day, I came home and called the police because I also realized that my external hard drive that had ALL my pictures on it was missing as well. Slowly we started to notice more and more things were missing, also that the bolt on the french doors in my bedroom was unlocked. I was more pissed than anything that someone would take the dang external hard drive because I had just barely transferred all of my pictures over to it. Anyway, the cops came, did nothing really and left. I then got ready for the day and headed to my sisters because I was supposed to stay the night over there. The next day, I headed home, when I got there the house had been broken into again.... Yep, two days in a row!! Are you kidding me!?!?! This time I was a little more scared, I was the stupid girl in the movies that checks all the closets and everything instead of getting out of there. I was ready to kick some Butt!!!! This time, they took all of our bras and underwear, clean and dirty! That's a little unnerving.. So I called the cops again, they couldn't believe this was the second call two days in a row, they just kept saying it was someone we knew who knows when we are home or not. That's not a very good feeling to think that someone is watching you. So I didn't stay there for a few nights, we safe proofed the house in a lot of ways. Then I decided that they were not going to kick me out of my own house, there is no way I was going to be too scared to live there, I wasn't going to let that happen. So I had my brother give me and the house a blessing, then stayed the night there. WORST NIGHT OF MY LIFE!!!!!! So freakin' scary. Because whoever this was coming in, either came in or went out the doors in my bedroom, I slept maybe 1-2 hours all night, I woke up to every sound and the motion sensor lights even went on in the backyard, I had my mom's dog, but she is a big baby so she wouldn't have done much. She didn't even hear the noises I heard. The whole night I laid on my back watching both doors saying that I could not live in fear like that. I was tempted to leave and go to my Mom's or brothers but I was too scared to even get out of the bed. Needless to say, I didn't go back.... And that's why you may not see pictures, I'm still trying to clean that mess up.

December.... I moved out and back into Melissa's. While I'm really grateful for them and letting me live with them....again..... I'm totally mad and frustrated about the whole situation. I LOVED living in that house and me and my roommate got along great! It just really pisses me off that it had to happen.. I know everything happens for a reason, I just can't wait to find out why this happened.... There is some good news in December :) My sister Melanie and her husband Travis came out for Christmas!! It was really good to see them and fun to have them out here, we sure do miss them!! :) Christmas was good, we all had a lot of fun. We went to my brothers and played his new rockband that they got for Christmas, it was a blast :).

Today... Well I guess most recent of events, I've just been working and going to school, nothing too exciting but I'm hoping to go to St. George next month and also New York in June!!!! Wahoo!!!! I need to get out of here, I can hardly wait!!! All in all, things are good :) I'll just have to sift through my pictures to see if I have any recent ones and post them. I'm sure I have something. I'll try to be more up to date. Sorry for the novel, but you asked for it! ;-) hehehe jk

That's the wedding march, by the way.... My friend Chad is getting married!! Wahoo!! And to a great girl, Kandace!!! They are so freakin' cute together. They asked me to take their engagement photos!! Of course, I was excited!!!! So here is my first real attempt on doing engagement photos, what a cute couple. They were incredibly patient with me and such good sports. It was a lot of fun. Take a look and tell me what you think! I'll also be doing their Bridals/Goomals (meaning Bride and Groom). Yes yes..... I know..... Cali again!! But what can I say, I love it out there! I was able to spend time with my Grandma and Cousins. I also went to the beach. Corona Del Mar. It was beautiful and I swear, everything is so much better at the beach, it makes my day and is probably the most relaxing place on earth for me. Water, Sun, Sand, what else do you need!?!? Love it! When we left, people were setting up for a little ring ceremony. How perfect.

Happy Birthday Owen and Jesse!! These boys are getting so big and are so freakin' adorable!!! They both crack me up. They also both had their birthdays in September. Owen turned 3, he had a Cars birthday. and Jesse turned 6. Jesse had a pretty awesome party, it was a pirate birthday, he was Cap'n Jesse Sparrow. It was a lot of fun for the kids, but a lot of work for the adults haha. Take a look!

Lagoon

Who loves Lagoon??? I do.... Every once in a while anyway. I went to Lagoon on August 20th. It was fun and it wasn't too hot so it was great. When we went on the train to go see all the animals. First of all, those poor little animals they don't deserve to be locked up cause where they live is horrible and not taken care of. They'd be much better off in the Zoo! Anyway, while riding the train, I noticed that a poor little chicken was stuck on the barbed wire, we tried to get him off, but we ended up calling someone that worked in the park, he got gloves and saved the little guy. Poor thing. We had fun though. Wicked still gets me every time! Gotta love it!!

Company Party

My Company party was at Boondocks this year. And it was the best Company Party yet! It was a blast. Go Karts, simulators, and Laser Tag with the people in our group, loved it! It was nice for a change and it was definitely the most fun. I only have a few pics. You know me! It's not a post unless there are pictures! :)

Updates!

I am going to post a few updates so keep your eyes open, it may take me a bit to get completely caught up! But here I go! I left off at Maggie going to the hospital. I'm sorry I'm just now letting you know. But she is doing much better, with her infection anyway, she was able to get rid of it. She is gaining weight, but slowly, her hips are weak and so are her legs but she still tries to crawl, and tries to pull herself up to the table to stand. She's freakin' cute, she's also learning sign language. I gave her her blanket and she told me thank you in sign language. Maggie was also blessed, so I have posted some pics from that day then I took some other pics of her in her pretty dress. Maggie is still having heart problems and will be getting leg braces soon and she still has her hip brace, and she still may need to have the surgery on her head. I will keep you updated on her!! Love to all and thanks again for all the love and prayers for Maggie.

Maggie is back in the hospital with a very bad infection, they don't know what kind, where it came from, or how to treat it. She doesn't look like her self, she's pumped with so many fluids and just looks miserable. She needs so many prayers. She went into the hospital last night with a fever of 105. She hasn't improved from being in there all day. We are praying that she will start to improve by tomorrow. So please, any prayers would help. This little girl has been through so much, it's time for her to catch a break! Here are pics I took of her on July 24th. She's such a doll and strong little girl.

I'll FINALLY update. Let's see......Well, I had a birthday!! That was sure exciting. It was great! I celebrated with my friends on July 1st, me and Errin spent the day at Lagoon, man I love that place, especially cause they have Dippin' Dots!! :) It was a lot of fun. We then met up with some more friends for dinner at Rodizzio's Grill, first time I've ever been there and it was yummy and the workers were great! I even got an awesome birthday song sung by some pretty good lookin workers ;-) All in all, it was great!! On my birthday, July 2, I worked unfortunately, but I was lucky enough for my friends, Kristin, Dustin, and Chad took me out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse! They are great for coming all the way out here and taking me out. It was fun and good to see them. I also got a BBQ from my family for my bday!! I love it and am so happy to have it!! Thanks everyone for an awesome birthday!!

I had my first BBQ on the 11th, I invited a few friends over, we ate and talked for hours, it was a really nice get together and it was great that everyone could make it! On the 14th, I went to dinner with some girlfriends, it was great to get caught up with each other.

I've got good news now.... Maggie's home!! She was in Boston for 4 weeks!! Man, did we miss her. I've been over to visit a couple times now. She's gaining a bit of weight which is exciting. She now weighs 12 lbs 7 oz. Still little, but she looks a bit chubby now! She's adorable, and is trying so hard to be strong, it's amazing. She sits up on her own and plays with her toys, it's great!! But please still keep her in your prayers cause they still don't know what's ahead for her and her family. And there's my quick update!! Michael Jackson

Yes yes, I know what you're thinking... "Haven't we heard enough of Michael yet?" I'm sorry, but my answer is no.... I'm a HUGE fan of Michael Jackson, along with my family. He was an amazingly talented man, through singing and dancing. Who else can move like him?? No one could do it quite as charismatically as he did. I just wanted to post a little tribute to him, cause that may have been one of the most amazing concerts to go to, his comeback tour. I would definitely have paid for that one! Hopefully now that he has passed. People will stop ridiculing him and just enjoy what he brought to this world. Rest in Peace Michael. You are one of the most amazing performers I think this world will ever see. I posted one of my favorite videos of his. "Smooth Criminal" What amazing dance moves!!

In this post, you will see a couple different occasions. The first one is from when me and a couple friends went to the the Circle Lounge for some good music and yummy sushi! The next pictures will be of Amy, one of my best friends! She just had her first baby girl, Taelor Jeanne. She was born on June 17th. Congrats Amy and Phil! Love you guys! And let me tell you, they make beautiful babies! She is so cute! And I'm so excited for them, what a great adventure for them to experience together! The next fun thing I did, was go on an overnight camping trip, me Mason, Kristi, and Errin went camping for a night up in Farmington Canyon, what a crazy but fun night! We couldn't have asked for better weather, it was perfect!! Despite the fact that it was pouring rain on our way up there, but once we finally got there, it was perfect, no wind and not too cold. We really did have a lot of fun.

St. George

Catchin' up! So I went to St. George on June 5th. It was a blast!! I went down to visit my friend Naomi and we always have fun. It was a much needed get away. We were able to go to Zion's, it was my first time ever going, it was beautiful. I would love to hike Angel's Landing someday! We also were able to go to Vegas for the day we went to the Shark Reef and ate at the Hard Rock Cafe, which unfortunately took us a long time to find :) But after several miles of walking, we found it! Thanks again Nay for another great time in St. George! Miss and love you!

Las Vegas!

I've been lucky enough to go on many weekend excursions lately. They've been fun!! But it does make you appreciate being home a lot more. :) On May 22nd, I went to Vegas with Christy, Jodee, and Amy. We stayed at the Monte Carlo and our days consisted of laying by the pool and taking a tube ride in the lazy river..... Sun, Palm Trees, and a Pool.... Heaven :) My favorite part of the vacation, also the Bellagio fountains, I can never get enough of those! The night we got there, we went to Planet Hollywood....It was all right, no really my scene. The second night I was exhuasted so I stayed in and watched a movie :) Also, because they didn't go out till 1 AM, I was too tired by then. The last night we were there, Christy and I went to Margaritaville with Lora and her sister Shannon, then off to the Club at Caesars Palace, Pure. It was fun!! Short trip, but fun! Pics below :)

Maggie's fundraiser was a success!!! It was a lot work for her neighbors to put together this whole thing, but they did an Awesome job!! I know Michelle and Sean are truly grateful for what they have all done. And us, being family members, are also so grateful for them in helping out little Maggie and her family in ways we never could have without there tremendous service. The fundraiser was great and a lot of fun! I got to know Michelle and Sean's neighbors a little better and they are so nice and hilarious! I had a blast helping. Time flew by cause there was always someone to talk to. Thank you thank you thank you for everyone's help, donations, and prayers!! My Grandpa. What a wonderful wonderful man. He could always make you laugh no matter what. He brightened my day every day I would see him. Even if it was just because he called me "bubble butt" Or even when he would ask me if my face hurt cause it was killin' him. haha He was a major jokester, I think that's one thing we will always remember about him. Even if he did use the same joke a few times ;-) I remember when I was younger, we would go visit him and my Grandma in California, he would take each of us back, one at a time, for maybe an hour or more, so he could have us listen to his German music as he talked about politics and the past. He's so freakin' cute! He would be so excited to have us back there with him. As we got older, he started bringing us in one at a time still, but now it was to see his new electronic toy!! Whether it be a new computer, printer, picture editing software, tv, or camera's. He was definitely up to date on his electronics! Usually ahead of me!! Every time I would go visit, he would talk to me about my Digital SLR camera and his new Olympus camera. Always telling us what was better quality. My Grandpa was the most amazing scenery photgrapher I think I have ever seen and this was back when it was just slides!! I saw some of his work and I was blown away. That's one thing I struggle in when taking pictures. But he's an inspiration to make me try harder. He loved having his grandkids over, even when he wasn't feeling well he would try to spend as much time with us as he could, he even got a little more energy being with us. One women gave him his happiness and his twinkle in his eye though, and that is the one and only, Betsy Mckinney, my amazing Grandma who has done an AMAZING job taking care of him and just being at his side. These two people are people to look up to. So giving and loving. I can't express how much they both mean to me. My poor Grandma had to watch her husband pass and a week later, the other love of her life, her dog Gretchen. I can't imagine going through all that in such a short time. Man, she is one strong strong woman!! Love you Grandma and you are a great example to us all.
A few of us were able to head down to the funeral in California. Melissa, Melanie, and I sang "God be with you till we meet again" at his funeral. We got through the first verse just fine. Then my Grandma started crying so all three of us broke down at the same time and literally blubbered through the rest of the song when we should have just stopped. It was quite embarrassing. I just hope it made my Grandpa laugh, I'm sure he would have enjoyed that :-) In fact our uncle came up to us after and said "you started out like beautiful songbirds and ended up like the chipmunks!" haha I was glad I was able to sing with my sisters though. Maggie Alyce Agnew

This little girl has been through more than most of us have had to endure, in the short 10 months she's been here. She is 10 months old and weighs 10.3 pounds. She's been in and out of the hospital since the day she was born and is such a strong beautiful little girl. Maggie has been through numerous tests and surgeries which also means bills are starting to stack up for her family. They are up over their heads in bills but still are doing everything possible to find out what is causing all these medical problems Maggie has. My sister and her family are amazing people and would do anything for anyone, and they have, even with all that they have been through with Maggie as well as their other two little ones. Their neighbors have been a tremendous help to them. They are having a Fundraiser in Maggie's honor. On May 15^th and 16^th, they will be having a huge yard sale, all the money will go towards Maggie and her family. The yard sale will be located on 3100 South and 1000 East in Salt Lake. Please stop by this yard sale if you are able to and spread the word. They need our help!! Please keep Maggie and her family in your prayers.

New York!

Alrighty!! I'm back!! I finally have moved and have internet, wahoo!! So here are a few updates for the time I've missed. It's been quite busy. So here it goes!! This first one will be about my trip to New York!! Can I just tell you that I absolutely LOVE that place!?!? I think I would love to move there for like a year. My friend Amy, and I went to New York to visit my sis Melanie and Trav. It was really good to see them. Thanks so much for taking us everywhere guys!! While in New York, we did a lot of things. We of course had to go to China Town!! I got a couple cute purses :) The first night we were there, we were able to see Wicked!!! Oh my, it was great! And I recommend it for all of you to see, it was way good!! Loved it!! We also saw Mary Poppins. We went to two different museums.... The Met and the museum of natural history. Pretty cool. We of course went to 5th avenue and walked around the Rockefeller center. We went to see "Duplicity" with Mel and Trav one night, on our way walking back to the subway. There were two broadways that just got over. So we waited around a minute. I saw a guy come out and thought he was really cute, but didn't think anything of it. He came and stood right by me and I even looked up at him and made eye contact. Guess who it was!?!? It was none other but GERARD BUTLER!! Ya, I was shocked. He's off of P.S. I love you for those of you who don't know who he is. We also saw Joan Allen come out, she's on the Bourne movies, Marcia Gay Harden and Jeff Daniels were also there!! Crazy! 4 Movie stars in one night!! Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of all of them. But that's ok. Anyway, we also went riding bikes around Central Park, it was beautiful and I had a blast out there!! We of course went to the Empire State Building, the Brooklyn Bridge, Little Italy, and Greenwich Village. I would love to go back!! Here are a few pictures to update!

In Memory of LuAnn Nielsen

If any of you went to Orchard Elementary, then you may remember LuAnn Nielsen, also known as "Duty", as the one outside monitoring the kids at recess and lunch time. I was lucky enough to get to know her a little better than just "Duty". When I would meet Kristin halfway to walk to school with her, halfway was where LuAnn lived. She had a little puppy that would follow me to school every now and then. LuAnn had a love for animals and would nurse them back to health, then set them free again. With how often this puppy followed me to school and how much I loved her, LuAnn was generous enough to give her to me, yep! You guessed it, it's Chloie!! The love of my life! :-D Chloie and I would visit LuAnn often, she also got a new dog named Buster, she had me come up and teach him some tricks. LuAnn was always very sweet and hilarious. She's an amazing woman. I just wish that I was able to spend more time with her before she passed away. I haven't seen her in years since I moved and got busy. I know, no excuse, but it makes you realize how fast and unexpected someone can be gone. For me, that's been pretty often recently and has really opened my eyes. I was able to attend her funeral with Kristin's Mom, Kristin was the one who told me about it. Thanks Kris! But the funeral was amazing!! Everyone loved her and had a funny story to tell about her. She has definitely made a huge impact on a lot of people's lives. Lyn and I shared some stories with each other too. She will be sorely missed, especially by her family. She was fortunate enough to pass in her sleep, and she is no longer in pain. We love you LuAnn and will miss your smiles and laughter!!!

LuAnn Thomas Nielsen 1954 ~ 2009 LuAnn Thomas Nielsen, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, silently passed from this mortal existence on March 18, 2009 at her home in North Salt Lake.LuAnn was born June 19, 1954 to Lew H. and Ladine Pehrson Thomas, in Ogden. LuAnn met the "Love of her life", Lynn Nielsen, her senior year at Weber High School. LuAnn and Lynn started out just being good friends, began dating and fell in Love. On June 28, 1974 LuAnn and Lynn were sealed in the Ogden LDS Temple for time and all eternity. LuAnn was a great mother, totally dedicated to her four children and loved them dearly. LuAnn was a wonderful wife, homemaker and help mate to her husband Lynn. After all these years they remained "Best Friends" and her Love and support will be sorely missed. LuAnn was a member of the Orchard 9th Ward LDS Church and held positions in the Young Women's and Primary organizations. The Gospel was the cornerstone of her life. LuAnn worked for 11 years at Orchard Elementary as secretary in the office and the playground "Duty". LuAnn also worked for Dr. Sherman Johnson and Delta Airlines. She touched the lives of all she met and tried to "Scatter Sunshine" all along her way. LuAnn is survived by her husband Lynn, parents Lew and Ladine, sister Barbara (Craig) Rogers, children Meridee, Chantel, Brady (Maria), Jeremy (Alisha) and sister-in-law Karen Thomas. She is also survived by her grandchildren Alexis, Braxton, Isabella, Leah and Landon who were the "Light of her life". She was preceded in death by her brother David L. Thomas. Friends may pay their respects Sunday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Funeral Home (295 N. Main, Bountiful) and at LDS Coventry Chapel (155 Coventry Way, North Salt Lake) Monday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in Bountiful Cemetery.

In Memory of Judy Winchester

We consider Judy and Orval our Grandparents. They have been around since we were born and are extremely great friends with my Mom and Dad. They are both the most amazing and sweetest people I know. I don't think two people have ever loved each other as much as these two love each other. I have never in my life seen them fight or dispute on anything. They both have permanent smiles and are such a joy to be around. They would do anything for anyone, and they have. They are both happy caring people in love. This past week, Judy passed away. While she is now with her kids, Tony and Tina. It's still a struggle for those left behind here. Orval, and their two sons Tom and Toby. When we arrived at the funeral in Mesquite, my Mom was talking to Orval. Here's what Orval had said to her "The honeymoon is over, now it's time to work on the marriage." If only everyone could have a love as pure and strong as those two. Judy has also said in the past, "If you give it 100% you will get 110% back" I think we should all remember that. They really are people to look up to for so many reasons. I've had a bit of mixed feelings since her passing. I'm very sad about the unfortunate event while at the same time, I'm excited and happy for her. Cause there is no doubt about it, that she went straight to Heaven and is now with her two children that passed away, years ago. I really do feel for Orval, living without his one and only true love, but it will be but a minute until they see each other again. As soon as the funeral had ended. Orval went home and planted a tree for Judy. She had said that she wanted two blooming trees as well as some rose bushes. He will now be planting those for his sweetheart. Also, when he sits in his backyard, Judy will be up on the hill, watching over him. Her grave site is in their back yard on top of a hill. You'll kinda see exactly how far in a picture I'm posting on this. So that is my dedication to Judy and the true love she had for Orval and everyone around her. We will all miss her very very much.

While we were in Mesquite, we played the Keno machines. That was Judy's favorite thing to do, you'd find her at the penny slots drinking a large Diet Coke while Orval was working as a pit boss. So our family played the penny slots in remembrance of Judy. We did have a lot of fun as a family. My family is awesome and I'm so happy and glad to have each and every one of them, along with my siblings spouses, they're wonderful! We have a lot of fun when we get together and everyone is really caring even though we are EXTREMELY sarcastic with each other. That's just how we show our love :-D. But we had some fun while we were out there, we also played Bingo! That was actually pretty fun and funny cause the lady calling out the numbers sounded like a man and looked like Adam Sandler dressed up as a woman on The Best of Chris Farley. haha We also went bowling and sat in the hot tub for a bit. We all had fun and knew that Judy would want us to just be happy and be together as a family. But we still pray for Orval that he will be ok until he sees her again. I think it's a comfort for him, that she is right there in his backyard. I've posted a slideshow of all the things we did. Enjoy!

Judith Gale Winchester
(February 2, 1942 - March 7, 2009)

Judy Winchester Judith (Judy) Gale Winchester, age 67, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born in Frankford, Michigan to Earl and Jo Farnsworth Hansen on February 2, 1942. Judy graduated from high school in Langlois, Oregon. After graduation she met Orval Winchester and the two of them were married on April 16, 1960 in Langlois, Oregon. Together they moved and lived in many places before moving to Beaver Dam. She enjoyed doing craft work of all kinds, especially scrap booking. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Judy was preceded in death by her 2 children, Tony Winchester and Tina Holyoak. Judy is survived by her husband Orval Winchester of Beaver Dam, AZ; two sons: Toby Winchester of Salt Lake City, UT, Thomas Winchester of Mesquite, NV. She also loved each of her family members very much, especially her 17 grandchildren. A funeral service will be held for Judy on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 11:00 am at the Beaver Dam Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2009 from 6:00 -8:00 pm at Virgin Valley Mortuary and Thursday prior to grave side service at the Littlefield LDS Church from 10:00 to 10:45 am.

I just had to share this with everyone. Here's the backround story of what happened here. This is a talk show. The interviewer was interviewing victims of medical surgeries gone wrong. Normally, before they air, they have a little rehearsal. This time...they didn't.... The man being interviewed had his tonsils taken out and they ruined his vocal chords in the process. Seeing how that's not the funny part. Just think of a time when you were laughing uncontrollably and nothing could stop you. I've been there many times. This is probably my all time favorite, I laugh harder and harder, every time I see it. Not for the man's misfortunes but just because I know what it's like not being able to stop laughing no matter what situation I'm in. Needless to say, the show was kicked off the air, permanently. Enjoy! (get tissues to wipe the tears of laughter!)

San Francisco

I was able to go to San Francisco with Kristin, Dustin and Chad. We went down to visit Jessica and to see San Fran. We had a blast. A couple bumps along the road but it was still fun. We headed down Friday night, it was a little bit of a rough drive. We hit a snow storm in Truckee California so we had to buy chains. Well, later on the freeway was closed so we had to pull off. Where we then noticed that we only had chains one tire... Once the freeway opened, we started to get on, but they wouldn't let us until we had chains on both tires. So we had to buy more. Dang it!! We finally made it to Jess' after 12 hours of driving... man.... But it was fun! The next morning, we woke up and Jess made us breakfast. After getting ready for the day, we headed to the Hess Winery. It was pretty cool to see, even though the museum part was a little scary! haha That night was Valentine's so Jess made us a delicious dinner! Thanks Jess! The next day, we headed to San Fran down to the Wharf to see the Seals, and we saw Alcatraz from a distance. It was pooring rain, so we got umbrellas, it was pretty fun though. We went to Ghiradelli Square for a yummy Banana Split, then took the Trolley to China Town, well....Almost....The trolley broke down right before China Town haha. The next day it was beautiful! We went to San Fran again, we went on a Bike ride in Golden Gate Park to the Japanese Tea Gardens awesome! When we got back to the car, it had been beatin in, like someone body slammed the roof of the car. It totally sucks and I feel way bad about it happening. We then headed over to the house in Full House. It's really called the "Painted Ladies". Beautiful, then over to Coit Tower which overlooks the whole city. That night we ate at the Cheesecake Factory. The next morning, we left to come home. That drive took 14 hours. We got stopped for an hour on the freeway and then it was snowing horribly bad. Wow... We did have a ton of fun though, as the pictures will show you!! Hope you enjoyed my novel and my pictures!

Cousins in town!

Draper Temple

These next couple posts are to update a little. I was able to go to the Draper Temple open house on Feb. 10th. The Temple was beautiful! And I was able to go with my sister, Melissa, and her family. We had a lot of fun and it was really neat to see. It's beautiful!! But then again, would you expect anything less!?! I love Temples and everything about them. I just can't wait for the Oquirrh Mountain Temple to be finished to tour through that as well since it's so close to my house. Yay!

Skiing!

Alright everyone, I'm here to let you know, that I finally went Snow Skiing for my very first time EVER!! It was actually quite fun we went to Park City! Christy and I attempted to Snowboard but we had no idea what we were doing and didn't have snowboarders there to teach us, so we switched in our boards for skis. It was a lot of fun!! I was surprised I like it so much. But I wouldn't have been able to do it without Stan, he's a great teacher. I went down the bunny hill a few times :-D I actually prefer the bunny hill... But I attempted the great monster!! The actual mountain. I did all right for my first time, that's what they told me anyway haha. It was a little overwhelming and it took me quite a while to make it to the bottom. I did crash once! haha, everyone there would tell ya that it was pretty funny..... I was turning a corner and it was a little icey so I couldn't stop for the life of me. I was going too fast so Stan couldn't stop me, and straight ahead was a huge drop off into the trees.... That didn't look too appealing to me to crash into. So with my greatest effort, I turned to my right up a little hill on the side, I went flying up then landed and rolled, haha. I didn't get hurt one bit, which was quite amazing to me, but what a fall. The bystanders (friends) haha started laughing and said watching me crash made their day, they said just a puff of snow went flying when I landed and I looked graceful... Man, I would have to agree with them that it was pretty funny, I was sure laughing even though shooken up and scared the rest of the day to ski! But it was worth it, it really was a lot of fun. Christmas Eve, a few of us went to Dustin's and had dinner and played some Wii. Lots of fun. Christmas morning, I celebrated with Melissa's fam. We then had everyone over to do more gifts and played a way fun game. Then we headed over to Dustin's for our Christmas Mexican dinner mmmmm....mmm....mmmm :) Christmas was great!! I don't think there has ever been a better dog..... He will surely be missed by all. The sweetest big dog you could find. Owen loved to just be right in his face all the time and Bradley would just stare back. He would never snap or bite no matter how annoying someone would get with him. Owen also loved to sit on him like a horse. Bradley would just lay and let him. He would get as happy as a puppy when someone would pet him. Also, when he would go on walks you could hear him a mile away, he would get so excited. He was a very loveable dog and his family, the Sugden's, miss him tremendously. Newton is also pretty lonely to not have his big brother/buddy around. Rest in Peace Bradley, we all love you! And sorry, Melis and Jeff, for your loss. He's been with your family for years....

Work Christmas Luncheon

We are one lucky group!! Not only did we get a company Christmas party, but we got a Christmas luncheon also!! At none other than the Cheesecake Factory!! Yum yum yum..... It was delicious!! If anyone goes there, I HIGHLY recommend the Avacado Eggrolls, possibly the best appetizer I've ever had. Their White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle Cheesecake was delish as well!! It was a lot of fun! We also all got certificates for our "part" that we play in our group. I was named "Head Cheerleader" and here is the cheer that was made for me. "Ready, okay. From morning till night, group spirit is her fight" Haha it was kind of cute. We also did white elephant gifts. I got two magnets, one says "Next Mood Swing 0:06" and another one that said "The trouble with getting to work on time, is that it makes work too long" haha. Ya, needless to say, no one wanted to trade with me. I do have some pretty funny pictures though. Tye got reindeer ears that are actually for a dog. While he was trying them on, I took a picture at the exact time that the strap came up and hit him in the nose! Can I say perfect timing??? It was hilarious! Enjoy the pics! Love to all!

Company Christmas Party!

Oh boy.....Was this interesting... Haha. We had our Company Christmas party at the Little America this year. We had a Murder Mystery dinner. The place was beautiful, the entertainment was all right. But being at our table is what made it fun!! :-) The theme of the Murder Mystery were us being an audience for an Oscar Nominee thingy... haha They were handing out "Oscars" for some of the group leaders for a job well done in some way. Well, our boss got an award for bringing in some money.... They called his name to come up and......nothing......he walked out into the hall. So they then called Christy to come up to accept the award for him. The next thing I know, is that I'm down on the ground......ya.....Christy ripped me out of my chair to come up with her, I wasn't prepared so I dropped to the ground, once she finally got me back up, I looked over and Amy was laying across the chairs cause Christy was pulling her to come up as well haha. It was hilarious to see, I'm sure. People said we looked like two Rag Dolls that Christy pulled up. So we had to go on stage, Amy and I both said something to accept the award, while Christy just stood there, haha It was pretty funny and quite the show!! I wish I had it on video!! It was great! Wow! Is anyone else as surprised as me at how fast time flies!! I can't believe Christmas is only a month away. This year has flown by and has been very eventful..... A lot has happened this year. Craziness..... Anyway, obviously we just had Thanksgiving! Yay!! I cooked my first Thanksgiving dinner this year for my fam, it was great! We had a big dinner with everyone except for Mel and Trav of course. We sure missed you guys this year, but also jealous that you were able to go to the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade! ;-) haha Then my mom and I brought dinner for Michelle and her family since they weren't able to join the entire family cause Maggie has a plethora of equipment. On Saturday, I took Hailey and Taveon to Disney on Ice!! It was a blast and the kids loved it. They were screaming and so excited to be there. We all really enjoyed it. I would definitely go again. Pheasant Hunting!

Yep! That's right everyone, I went Pheasant hunting for my very first time EVER last Saturday. I went with some friends from work down to Gunnison, the trailer had a bit of an issue on the way down, but thank goodness we were with people who knew what they were doin when it comes to cars. I didn't think I would be able to shoot a bird cause it is a live animal. But I did it! I hit my first Hen!! It was a lot of fun to be out there for so long and to shoot clay pigeons for practice. I know some would think it's cruelty to animals, but I will be eating it. How many of you eat chicken!?!? I rest my case :) I also skinned it, which may be the last time I will do that..... haha I did it with my eyes closed :-D haha Here are some sweet pics from our fun adventure!! Thanks again Zach!! Visiting Maggie!

Here are some pics of when we went to go visit Maggie. I wish I would have gotten more pictures of her with her parents, but so much was going on and they went for a walk around the hospital. Maggie's surgery went well. She struggled the first couple of days, but I think she looks great now! She seems happy and she is learning so much, it's crazy! I feel since she is still so small that she shouldn't be able to pick things up and recognize things, it's awesome and she's a sweetheart. She'll hopefully be coming home tomorrow!!! I do have to say that Michelle, Sean, and the kids definitely have their work cut out for them. It's a lot of work to take care of a trach. But I know they can do it, they've been doing awesome so far!! Good job guys!! Anyway, here a few pics of the sweet girl and her fam!

I have been watching the kids for a while while Maggie has been in the hospital so on Nov. 7th it was Taveon's birthday. We just had a small get together while my Dad was in town. It was a lot of fun. He got LOTS of toys and a BIKE!!! And loves them all!! Take a look at the pics!!! Also, I forgot to mention yesterday that I was able to help in the nursery at church yesterday!! They want me to help out until my calling starts in January. So I helped in the nursery, the 3 year olds, and let me tell you, it was a lot of fun! I loved it!! The kids are great and are so freakin cute! Also, the other teachers are a very fun and nice couple. I really enjoyed it and am excited to help out for the next few weeks! So it's been a while since I've updated. It's been a little hectic lately. So I'll be making a few posts in a short period of time trying to catch up. :) So first off. I went to California!!! Ya, it was a short trip but it was a lot of fun. The car ride down was great! There was Christy, Jennie, Errin, Davey, Kai, and me. It was a blast driving down, we were all a little crazy. While I was down there, I was able to visit and go to dinner with my Grandma Taylor, we also went and saw Chloie. It was really good to see them both and I can see how happy and spoiled Chloie is down there so I'm really happy about that :) Thanks Grandma! It was a lot of fun to visit also. The next day I went to Yucaipa to visit with my Grandma and Grandpa Mckinney. My Grandma and I crocheted together for a while. Then we visited. My Grandpa is struggling a bit, but he's definitely a champ!! They're adorable. My aunt and cousins also came a visited for a little bit so it was a lot of fun to visit with them all. The last day I was there was a Saturday. So my Dad, Julieta and me went to Big Bear Lake to look around for a while, then went down to Palm Springs. We shopped a little and went to dinner at a place called Las Casuelas Terraza. It was pretty cool. There was live music there and it was outside. The band were older men but they were amazing and a lot of fun. I really enjoyed it. We also saw our family crest! That was cool, it even says that our family motto is "To Accomplish" I thought that was pretty awesome cause I had no idea what our crest even means. But the colors are yellow and green, with a dragon on the shield and a blue lion on the knights head. Pretty cool. All in all, it was a great vacation!! Stay tuned for more updates! Soccer and Tea Parties!

Saturday was a lot of fun! I was able to go to Hannah's Soccer game, and she did awesome! Good job Han!!! It was a lot of fun to watch and take pics. It's always a plus when her team wins also!! It was a lot of fun with the fam there. The kids seemed to have a lot of fun as well! That night, I went over to Michelle's to help Hailey build a castle out of rocks! It's awesome so far but I won't take a picture until it's the finished product, hopefully soon! After working so hard on building the castle, Hailey had a great idea to have a tea party! So I styled her hair for the occasion and she put on her cute little dress. We then baked and frosted some cookies! Yummm...... And had some hot chocolate and of course had some girl talk ;-) What a tea party! Here are some pics!

I've got a bit to update. First off, the 16th was National Boss Day so Amy and I decorated my bosses office, we of course did it in a Halloween theme. It turned out way cute though and it was a lot of fun!! I then went to dinner with Kenzie and her husband Joe, thanks guys! Love you Kenz and we've got to go out soon again!! Also, I'm going to be out of town next week so we had our Halloween celebration this week. We had dinner, frosted cookies, and Carved Pumpkins!! We had a blast! We also went to my bosses son's Haunted House in Provo, the Scream Asylum. Check it out, it's awesome! Part of it is 3-D, we had a lot of fun and scary. At least to me!! My boss thought he would be funny and scare all of us at work..... Well, it worked with me! You'll see a pic of him in his costume. I was ok looking at him, until he looked at me and started walking slowly towards me.....Ya, I was at my desk, huddled in a corner telling him to go away, then he came and scratched my back with those long fingers....... haha, I may be a baby but he was like 10 feet tall and it's a freaky looking costume. He's funny.

My Little Getaway!

Oh man! I can't tell you how much I needed this little weekend getaway!! And it was soooo good to see Naomi again. Here's a little overview of what we did. I arrived to Naomi's in St. George on Wednesday night. We went to dinner and I was exhausted from the trip so we just watched "Batman Begins" and went to bed. The next morning, we went shopping!! Yay! That night, we headed to Mesquite to stay the night at the Oasis. So we went to dinner, then to a movie. We took Melanie's suggestion and saw "Ghost Town" oh my goodness, it was Hilarious!! I also would recommend that movie to anyone who wants a good laugh. It was cute! The next morning we headed to Vegas. We just took a walk down the strip to the Coke and M&M factory and of course saw the amazing Bellagio fountains! My favorite part of Vegas! We also had lunch at the Harley Davidson Cafe, gotta love it! We then went to the outlets until we headed back to St. George and we had dinner with her husband, Nate. On Saturday, Naomi and I headed up to to the Grand Canyon. It was freezing, but beautiful! We also met some older cute couples, they were so sweet and funny. Anyway, here are some pics! Also, Naomi and Nate, thanks so much for letting me stay with you!! I had a blast!! One more thing, my niece Hannah also had her birthday Happy Birthday Hannah! :) So in the slide, is a pic of the blanket I made for her.

I'm leaving town on Wednesday so I thought I'd post a little update before I left. A couple saturdays ago, I took the boys to the park to play and so I could take some pics of them. I think they're favorite part was the swings!! We had a lot of fun. Poor little Owen couldn't do all the things that Jesse could cause he was so small. He was a little sad. But I think he still had fun! :) My cousin Sarah and her boyfriend Jason came in to town for only a day, but it was a lot of fun to be with them. We went to lunch, then took them around the Salt Lake Temple cause Jason has never been to Utah before. We then went to Dustins and visited and played a little PR ;-) haha it was a lot of fun. The kids also had a blast dressing up!! They kept asking me to take their pictures haha they had fun! That's about it! Just some fun with family!! I absolutely love it! And I can't wait to leave for St. George on thursday, it will be awesome! And VERY much needed!! :-D Sorry there is a ton of pictures this time..... One more thing. Please everyone prayer for little Maggie, she really needs all the prayers she can get right now so she can get better, get off her oxygen, and avoid getting a tracheotomy. She's a sweet little girl and handles things amazingly, considering what she's been through. We are all hoping and praying for the best with her and her family. I love you guys!!

I see that I haven't updated in a while so I'm just gonna do a quick overview. I don't have many pics this time. But I'll be sure to have more with my next post! :-) Not much has happened since the last post. My life isn't too exciting :-( Oh well. I do have a few pictures when I had a few friends over and we had dinner and played Guitar Hero, Rock on!! It was a lot of fun. Chalise and Chad are some of my favorite people so it was awesome that they could come over!! My brother in law Sean had a birthday on September 25th, HAPPY BIRTHDAY SEAN!! Also, I had another friend get married just yesterday! Congrats Julie and Seth!! They are way cute. I went to the wedding with Errin and Mason, it was a lot of fun cause we just went to dinner after and talked forever, it was nice to catch up and talk! Randi also had her little girl Reagan! How exciting! Congrats to her and her hubby as well!! Let's see.... That's about all that's happened. I will be going to St. George and Vegas in a couple weeks though with Naomi! Wahoo!! I'm very excited!!! :-D Oh ya, I almost forgot, I also went with a few friends to the Melting Pot!! I have never spent so much money on food in my life. But you've got to get the experience, right!?! ;-) It was fun though, we are going back for dessert another night! Yummm......

Yep, I am still here in the blogging world, I've just been busy though with work and all, but here's a little update for the last month. Melanie and Travis moved to New York!! We are all very excited for them but will miss them terribly, they are only moving out there for hopefully only about 9 months for Trav to go to school. So we spent some time with them before they left, we helped them move and had a little get together for them up in Milcreek Canyon, just a fun dutch oven dinner with the fam. It was a blast, but at the same time sad that they had to move. Don't worry though, we're all making plans to go visit!! How exciting!! :D We love you guys! Also in August, I had my company party! That was a lot of fun, BJ came along with me and we had a blast. We had dinner then played some volleyball and of course had a snow cone! Yum!! And we even climbed the rock wall. It looks easier than you think but surprisingly, I made it to the top! :-) Wahoo!! Another fun thing we did, was spend a night camping with BJ's parents up in Mirror Lake, it was so pretty up there and was pretty fun!! BJ, being the fish that he is, jumped into Mirror Lake for a little swim. Ya, it was freezing cold!! haha, but he loved it! Here are some pics to show all the fun of the past month! I know, I know.... It's been a while since I've updated. But here I am to tell you what fun things I've been up to!!! Well, It's been a month, so I'll try to keep things straight. I also have a lot of pics! Hope you enjoy! Cause that's my favorite thing to see on peoples blogs are pictures! Anyway, here I go!! First off, I forgot to mention that two of my close friends got married!! Yay! Kristin and Megan! Congrats girls! Love you much! I then had my birthday! :) So me and some friends went to dinner and of course to go see Hancock!! How can I not see Hancock when it comes out on my Birthday!?!? Come on, if any of you know me, you know I love Will Smith! haha, it was a pretty good movie though. Then on the 3rd, were the Eaglewood fireworks!! Can't miss those!! So BJ and I went up there with Melissa and her fam, it was a lot of fun! On the 4th, we celebrated BJ's niece, Trinity's, birthday and went to fireworks at Thanksgiving Point. Way cool! A few birthdays went by for the month of July also. So here's a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Jessica, Lori, Naomi, Melissa, Melanie, and Kenzie!! And another wedding, Alex and Elisabeth Martin, so congrats to them! Oh ya! I also helped a baby bird! I woke up one morning with something hitting my window and chirping very loudly, so I finally got up to see what it was. It was a poor baby bird who fell in my window well and couldn't get out. So I helped the little guy out. When I came back into my room, he was there again!! But don't worry, this time I took him far away to where his parents were. I hope he's doin alright! So one night, a few of us went to Milcreek Canyon to have a fire! Ya, it turned out to be more of a smoke haha some people stole our wood so our "fire" was pretty pathetic, but we still had a blast!! I'll have to post some pictures of that night up later. We were all pretty crazy and just had fun! My Dad came into town and brought his wife Julieta and Step son Ben. It was fun to have them here! We went and had dinner with them up in Park City on Friday, then on Saturday, we all went to Lagoon!! Man that was fun but I forgot how exhausting it is! haha We all had a blast though. Ben may be moving to America within the next 2 years! He lives in England right now. But we are all really excited if he comes out here cause he is a lot of fun and totally fits in with our family! Baja Mexico Cruise!!!

I went on a cruise last week. And let me tell you, it was a very much needed cruise, just to get away for a while. I went with some of my best friends, Julie, Kristin, and Erin. We had a blast!! It started out in LA. So we just got on the ship, named "Monarch of the Seas", laid out and explored the ship, it was pretty relaxing and fun. The next port was in San Diego, we've all been there before so we just stayed on the ship, went to the gym, and soaked up some sun! It was pretty good weather. Us four also had our own table for dinner, it was in the corner and very nice and cozy with a window seat. Our Assistant waiter was awesome! He had a trick for us almost every night, and he was funny!! Every night after dinner, they had a show so we tried our hardest to make it to each show. I think everyone will agree with me when I say that we all thought that Troy Thurgill was the best comedian the whole cruise, he was hilarious!! The next port was Catalina Island. We got off the ship here and rented some bikes to ride around town. Julie and Erin went Kayaking, while Kristin and I went shopping. It was a pretty little Island. Oh but don't worry, it was my bike that broke down haha of course!! But Erin saved the day and fixed it!! Thanks Erin!! Our last stop was Ensenada Mexico! I have decided that I love Mexico!!! We took an hour tour bus to get to our Rosarito Beach Party! It was a lot of fun, we went to a few little shops, laid out, got some tattoos ;-) and played on the beach. They also had horses you could ride on the beach, it was pretty cool with perfect weather!! It was just a fun relaxing getaway with some of the girls! And now, I have quite a few pictures to share. :-D What do you expect from a photographer!?!?!

This past weekend, Julie and I headed down to Manti for our friend Megan's wedding. We headed down on Friday, we got there kind of late so we just grabbed some dinner and went to the house. On Saturday morning, we decided to go 4-wheeling up to Milky falls. Once we got up there, we tried to hike up to the falls, but the current was too strong so we had to turn back. We walked through knee deep old snow. And we just about sank when we walked in the mud, it was pretty fun. When we got back to the house, we were a bit tired so we just rested and watched "Frequency". When the movie ended, we decided to go on a walk. Well.....this walk turned into a hike up to the "M" on the mountain. It was blazing hot!!!!!!!!! and we didn't have any water with us. It also didn't help that my foot was halfway out of my shoe cause I was getting blisters, oh, and the athletes asthma! On the way down the mountain, my fingers looked like short fat sausages cause it was so hot and dry, it was a little weird looking. But all in all, it was a good time. :) We then got back to the house and got ready to go to Megan's wedding. Our friend Paul came over and we all went together. Megan looked beautiful and happy. Her decorations were also amazing. So we went to the reception, ate some fruit, visited a little then the 3 of us headed to dinner. Afterwards, Julie, Paul, and I walked to the Manti Temple. That Temple is so gorgeous!!! It was a perfect weather night also. We just walked around and took some fun pictures! Now Sunday was one interesting day......I think I'm bad luck and you'll see why. Julie and I got the house in order and left to come back home. We were driving my car. We stopped in Nephi to drop Paul's stuff off to him. We then got back on the freeway and within 30 min. of driving, my car started slowing down, oh great!! So I pulled over to the side. By the time I got to the side of the road, my car had already turned itself off. You guessed it!!! My car was dead!!! Brings back memories of driving to Cali! haha. So Julie and I are pulled over to the side of the road, in the heat, with no air conditioning or water...... Paul was the closest to us at the time so he came out and tried to tow me. Well, the tow rope came undone once, so we tied it in knots, then those started to come undone. So I just had Paul tow me off the freeway into some shade, what a lifesaver!!! You'll understand why once this story is over. So he pulls me off the freeway, we ended up having to cut the tow rope off from my car. By this time, I had called my Mom and Scott to come and help me cause he tows all the time and my Mom didn't really feel safe about me without her there (you know how Mom's are) :) Gotta love her! So I told Paul to just take Julie home and I would wait for my Mom. Time passes......She finally calls, they got off the wrong exit but are heading to the right one. Time passes some more.............Here's my Mom calling again to tell me that their car had BROKEN DOWN!!!!! haha Can you believe it!?!?! Cause I thought she was joking!!!! Scott's vehicles never break down, he's like a mechanic!!!! My goodness..... So then I called my friend BJ, he was the next closest to where I was, and knew a little bit about the situation. So he started to head out and guess what!??! He actually made it safe, with his car still running, with all 4 tires intact, and he took the right exit haha. By this time, I had been waiting for a way home for 4 1/2 hours. It's a good thing I wasn't stranded on the freeway the entire time cause I would have gotten heatstroke for sure. It's also good that BJ arrived when he did, cause that's a long time in the heat with no cold water (the Arby's was closed) ;-). I had the worst headache after that. So, he came and picked me up, then we went and picked my Mom and Scott at his stranded truck haha, then came back to my car. BJ and Scott pushed my car while I drove it into a parking spot. Lets not forget that this parking lot is getting torn up on Tuesday, so I had to get my car out of there by Monday!! So BJ took us all home, and in my Mom's and Scott's words he's a Savior and a Blessing. He was definitely extremely helpful and actually made it out to us pretty quickly! Now Monday, I spent the entire day talking with my Insurance agent to find a reasonably priced tow truck for me. Nothin came up. So my friend Kristi borrowed her brother's truck and her fam's trailer to help me pick up my car. We headed out there after work. My Mom and Scott arrived down there about the same time we did. They all pushed me and my car onto the trailer. Then I realize, I can't get out the door! haha So I had to crawl out through the window, my Mom had the camera out and caught some pics of the whole ordeal. It was funny. But I am so EXTREMELY Thankful for EVERYBODY'S efforts in helping me. I don't know what I would do without any of them. Thank you Paul, Mom, Scott, BJ, Kristi (and your bro and fam!) without you guys, I wouldn't be home as quickly as I was able to get home, my car would still be in Provo, I could have had heatstroke, and you are just overall LIFESAVERS!!!!!! What amazing people! I just hope you all know how grateful I am!! Now, here are some pics to kind of help follow the story.... :)

Alright, So I need to catch up on a few things. I had a new niece born on April 24th , her name is Suzy Grace!! I have only seen her once so I don't have too many pics, I need to go visit soon!! Here are a couple though. She's adorable!! Family is doing well and are very happy!!

Now on April 10th, Christy, Amy, Errin and I were givin tickets to go see the Blaze game!!! It was awesome and so much fun! The best part about the entire night is that I was able to get a cup of the ice cream of the future.........DIPPIN' DOTS!!!!!!!!! They are my absolute favorite ice cream ever!! Yummm.... And to top it all off, the Blaze won!! Pretty intense game, it was a ton of fun!! Thanks Rick!!! Photos to show our fun! ;-)

Now here's some news that I don't have any pics for. But one of my bestest friends ever got married on Wednesday the 14th!!! Brian!!! Congrats to ya!!! He married Stevie that he met up in Logan, I'm way excited for them both!! They'll be living in Logan so that's a bummer, I'll hardly see them. But what exciting news!!!

On Friday the 16th, I took my coworkers and his wife's Harley's and took some pics of them. I'm not very good at taking pictures of objects instead of people, I'm still learning, but I'll post a few pics anyway, I think some of them are pretty sweet! I never knew this, but Harley has their name posted everywhere on these bikes, places I wouldn't even imagine, so I tried to get some shots of that. Enjoy!! I've also got a pretty exciting story that I'll have to wait and post tomorrow!

I went to Jesse's T-ball game for the first time. It was so dang cute!! He has an awesome coach that really knows how to teach kids how to hit a ball. They were funny, running/walking to all sorts of places on the field. I love to watch 4 year olds play sports they just have fun and don't care about the score. And after the game they all go and shake hands telling each other "good game" just look at these pics and see how cute it is. Kids definitely make life fun and light! Gotta love 'em!!! :-D

I WENT DOWN TO ST. GEORGE LAST WEEKEND TO SEE TWO OF MY BESTEST FRIENDS GRADUATE FROM COLLEGE (SUU)! CONGRATS KRISTIN AND JULZ!!! I'M PROUD OF YOU GUYS AND I MUST ADMIT, A LITTLE JEALOUS ;-D. This past weekend, I took a little trip to California!! My friends offered to drop me off at my Dad's on their way to Huntington Beach. So we arrived at my Dad's on Friday morning, so we spent the night there. When we woke up we took my ride for a spin! :) Haha, it's actually my Dad's of course. But isn't it sweet!?! I wish it was mine!

Let me tell ya......That car was a blast to drive!!! I never understood the love of Corvette's until I drove that!!! The sound and the feel of the engine is amazing when you gun it full force!! aahhhh..... :D That night, we just had the missionaries over dinner. One was from Bear Lake, the other was from Tonga, who has 18 SIBLINGS!!! Crazy, but it was interesting to hear about his culture. That night, my Grandma also brought my baby girl, Chloie, over so I could see her. Isn't she freakin' adorable!?!?! I love and miss her so much, but she's extremely spoiled where she's at, and she loves it!

On Saturday, my Dad and I took the Vette to where we saw thousands of bikers and some pretty sweet Harley's! I also love the sound of those...

We also saw the Colorado River and the original London Bridge at Lake Havasu. It was a really fun weekend. We didn't get home until 6:00 AM on Monday but it was worth it!

CEDAR FUN!

I went down to Cedar City to visit my friends down at SUU. We had a lot of fun. We just hung out, and did whatever. Love these guys!! We went to St. George and played some volleyball and Flag Football! It was a blast!! We also went and visited our friend that lives in St. George, Naomi! We all have so much fun together even if we just sit around and talk. The day we were leaving, we were watching "America's Next Top Model" on TV. The power went out, so we decided to head down to the park, where we pretended to be on "America's Next Top Model" haha, it was awesome. I don't see what those models have that we don't ;-) We also just played some Frisbee and headed back home. It was a lot of fun to be with them. And now us girls are going on a cruise together in June before our little Kristin gets married. I can't wait!!

Easter Sunday!
Easter was fun. I was a bit sick but still loved it because we had PERFECT weather. My family got together and went to Michelle's for an Easter egg hunt and a picnic. It was a lot of fun and I obviously enjoyed taken a few pics of the kids in their cute Easter outfits!

CANCUN!!!
I'm just gonna start out with things from the beginning of this year. I was lucky enough to go to Cancun!! I wouldn't ever have been able to go, if it wasn't for my amazing friends!!! The best birthday present ever! Thanks guys, it was amazing!! While we were there, we were able to go on a couple excursions. One we went on was to Chichen Itza! One of the Seven wonders of the world, it was pretty awesome, we learned a lot about the Mayans and their culture. It was all really interesting. Another cool thing, is when you stand at the bottom of the Chichen Itza Pyramid and clap, you hear an eagle from the top of the pyramid because of the way the Mayans set up the acoustics in the top. I couldn't believe it, it was one of the coolest things ever!! Also, on a certain day of the year, the sun will hit the pyramid just right to make a shadow of a snake, ya, crazy. They definitely knew what they were doing back then when they built that building. The snake, eagle, and jaguar are all interlinked in their culture.

While we were in Cancun, we were also able to go to Xcaret where we saw a pretty sweet night show of the Mayans, and Mexicans culture. We also went snorkeling in Puerto Morelos, I ain't gonna lie, I was a little nervous at first because, I'm a little afraid of the Ocean haha, but it was beautiful, we saw the biggest Sting Ray I've ever seen in my life!! We also saw a huge sea turtle, I felt like I was in "Finding Nemo" haha. Oh ya, we also went to Ikkil, where I faced another one of my fears, jumping from what I think is a very high cliff into water. But it was awesome! I enjoyed it all! So much fun!!

So I've decided to start a blog. Apparently, it's the new hip thing to do these days so why not try it out! :) I've been vacationing quite often lately and will be more in the future, so I decided to start this to share my adventures!
